VOLUNTEERS

The Brading Community Partnership (BCP), runs the Youth and Community Centre largely on the contributions of volunteers. The only paid staff at present are the Youth Club Leaders. All the other activities are under taken by volunteers or paid professionals for major works, funded separately.

The management of the organisation is by the team of ten Trustees of the BCP Charity, supported by four sub-committees, led by Trustees but including several volunteers. These are the Youth Club itself, the Community Centre including the café and associated activities. The café is run entirely by volunteers which restricts the amount of time that it can be open, and therefore when other activities can be held. The other sub-committees are for Fundraising and for Buildings and Maintenance. Much of the general maintenance is under taken by the buildings sub-committee, with help from Men in Sheds who have space in the building.

There is therefore room for others to join in and help. Volunteers can call in to the Café on a Monday or Friday morning to register interest in any aspect of our work. Alternatively they can contact us through the “Contacts” section.
